Paediatric Neurology and Neurodevelopment

Development and movement is dependent on an optimum nervous system, musculoskeletal system and integration of various sensory systems. It thus explains why a holistic approach to intervention yields best results.

At The Children's Therapy Services we have qualified, experienced neuro/neurodevelopmental therapists working within this speciality at a senior level for over 25 years.

They have extensive, postgraduate qualifications in Bobath (Neuro-developmental) therapy and also in Sensory Integration therapy.

They are engaged in teaching and research and are members of the:

  • British Association of Bobath Trained Therapists

  • Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists

  • Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice

  • Association of Sensory Integration Therapists

These therapists are highly experienced in assessing and treating children for physiotherapy adjuncts like:

  • Botulinum Toxin

  • Functional Electrical Stimulation

  • Orthotics, Splints and postural management equipment
