Why Nila Lakhani?Nila Lakhani is the Director of The Childrens Therapy Services and Sai Childrens Therapy. Nila has over 40 years' experience in Physiotherapy and for the past three decades, she has been working solely in paediatrics both in main stream and specialized NHS hospitals together with well-known independent/private hospitals in London. She is Bobath trained and Sensori Integration Trained Therapist having worked at Senior level in Major Paediatric Teaching hospitals like The Great Ormond Street Hospital, London (1986 - 1993), Kings College Hospital, London (1998-2009) Nila prides herself on the excellent rapport built not only with patients but with relatives, carers and other healthcare professionals involved, working harmoniously with peers at different professional levels and backgrounds. This experience has helped Nila to become the highly skilled Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist that she is now. Her career goal is being a well-trained, experienced, competent and safe practioner; continually updating knowledge and practice in this dynamic specialty. Nilas drive, enthusiasm and deeply rooted commitment to excellence are reflected in maintaining her continuous professional development. She believes despite the finite nature of resources, improvements to patient care are limitless. As a specialist paediatric neuro physiotherapist, Nila strives with drive, enthusiasm and commitment to continuously and constantly seek innovative, cost effective ways to improve her treatment approach. Reflective practice allows her to constantly fine tune the care she administers; ensuring it is cost effective, personalized, fair, and safe.
